Etobicoke Case Study
In March, we handled a complex partial roof replacement in Etobicoke on a commercial plaza for a repeat landlord client. Prior to the roof replacement, there were numerous active, recurring leaks. Adding to the complexities of this project was the grocery store that anchored this retail plaza. After contending with several challenges, including protection of shelved produce and mitigating any impact on shoppers and employees, we were able to complete a successful partial roof replacement for the client.

Earlier this year, we sat down with Isaac “Ike” Glowinsky, who got his start in the roofing industry working alongside his father, Abram z’l, in the Elite Roofing business in Toronto. He reflected on a simpler time marked by good old-fashioned hard work, family ties, community connection and the promise of a handshake. Ike gave us some insight into how the roofing industry has evolved from Elite’s humble beginnings in 1956 to today’s modern digital and technology-heavy approach. Support Our Troops
Aiding Canadian Military Families with Educational Scholarships
For the past 13 years, Elite Roofing has been proud to support our troops in the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) by donating to Support Our Troops. This program was established in 2007 to provide grants and programs that help members of the CAF, veterans, and their families navigate the challenges of military life, from relocation to life transitions. Our gift, as in past years, benefits the organization’s National Scholarship Program, which helps military families meet their educational needs.
Vaughan Food Bank Donation
Helping Our Community Thrive
This year, we provided a financial contribution to the Vaughan Food Bank as part of our ongoing mission to support local initiatives that make a difference. Since 1995, the Vaughan Food Bank has provided meals to the residents of Vaughan, agencies in York Region and other food banks across the Region. In fact, in 2024, they provided 1.5 million meals to those in need. We are proud to give back to the community that has welcomed us since 1956.
